TSV912

The TSV912 is a low-power, single-channel operational amplifier manufactured by Texas Instruments, designed for precision analog signal conditioning in space-constrained and power-sensitive applications. It operates from a single supply voltage ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, making it ideal for battery-powered systems such as portable medical devices, industrial sensors, and IoT nodes. The device features a wide bandwidth of 1.5 MHz and a high slew rate of 0.6 V/μs, enabling fast response times and accurate signal reproduction across a broad frequency range. This op-amp exhibits exceptional DC accuracy with a maximum input offset voltage of 2 mV and a very low input bias current of 5 pA, ensuring minimal error in high-impedance sensor interfaces. Its low quiescent current—just 380 μA at 5 V—makes it highly suitable for energy-efficient designs where prolonged operation from small batteries or energy harvesting sources is required. The TSV912 also offers rail-to-rail input and output swing, maximizing the dynamic range and allowing full utilization of the supply voltage for signal processing without distortion. Built on a robust CMOS process, the TSV912 provides excellent stability and noise performance, with a typical input voltage noise of 12 nV/√Hz at 1 kHz. It includes internal EMI filtering and protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD), enhancing reliability in harsh environments such as automotive and industrial settings. The device is available in compact SOT-23-5 and SC-70-5 packages, supporting high-density PCB layouts and minimizing board area usage. Common applications include signal conditioning for thermocouples, strain gauges, and photodiodes; active filter circuits; and level-shifting in mixed-signal systems. It is also widely used in data acquisition front-ends, battery monitoring circuits, and low-voltage instrumentation amplifiers where precision, low power, and small footprint are critical design considerations. With its combination of performance, efficiency, and ease of integration, the TSV912 serves as a versatile solution for modern analog circuit design across multiple industries.
